The Arts Infusion Initiative is a collaboration between a dedicated cohort of teaching artists from arts organizations throughout the city and Chicago's juvenile justice professionals. It offers high risk teens in high risk settings strategically designed arts instruction infused with communication and conflict resolution skills, all provided by role models of positive life choices. I have been fortunate to facilitate PD sessions for this awesome collective on a few occasions. Ya'll got my DEEPEST RESPECT!

Not much of a social media junkie, but have really found Linkedin to be really useful on many fronts. A great way to synthesize my accomplishments, make connections, follow companies, browse job listings and join discussion groups! And have a bit of "control" over what people come across when THEY GOOGLE YOU! :)

One of my "first jobs" in Chicago was working at Near North Montessori in the Wicker Park/Bucktown area. I taught at NNM for four years as a Spanish teacher, and later as the Fine Arts Specialist for the upper school. Also directed many a 7th/8th grade talent show, and helped with many a "class performance". Good times and hard times. Always think about many of my former students and "where are they now?"
Senn High School (ARTS) Residency with THE BILL OF RIGHTS FOUNDATION and the former home of GLOBAL VOICES. And the annual producer of the YOUNG PLAYWRIGHTS FESTIVAL. Glad to see Ilesa Duncan is still carrying the torch!!!
